You ever find yourself in a season where nothing feels settled? Like you’re standing in the middle of a storm with no umbrella, and just when you think it’s letting up—boom—downpour. Again.
Maybe you're in a transition, a waiting period, or just plain unsure of what’s next. Maybe God is leading you somewhere, but you have no clue where that actually is. It’s uncomfortable. It’s frustrating. And honestly, it can be downright exhausting.
I get it. I’ve been there—and I’m in one of those seasons right now. I can see that God is moving, I know He’s working, but I don’t have all the details yet. There are doors in front of me, but I don’t know which one He’s going to open or when. And if I’m honest, that unknown can feel unsettling.
But here’s what I do know: God works in the uncomfortable.
The Bible is filled with stories of people who had to walk through uncertainty before they stepped into what God had planned for them. Moses had to wander the wilderness. Joseph had to sit in a prison cell. David had to run for his life before he ever sat on the throne. The disciples had to drop their nets before they even knew what following Jesus really meant.
Uncertainty is uncomfortable, but it’s also where faith grows. Because in these seasons, we have to trust that God knows what He’s doing—even when we don’t.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
That means even when the path feels foggy, bumpy, and downright frustrating, God is still leading. He’s still in control. And He’s still good.
So, if you’re in a season of uncertainty, take a deep breath. Trust that even in the discomfort, God is working. You may not see the full picture yet, but He does. And one day, you’ll look back and realize this season wasn’t wasted—it was preparation.
