Who I Am
Hey there, I'm Andrew Yates! I’m a husband, father, author, and ordained pastor—living in the Pinehurst, NC area. Now, I know what you're thinking... Pinehurst? Isn't that the golf capital of the world? Well, the thing is, I’m not much of a golfer myself. But I love the area for its charm, natural beauty, and small-town feel. It’s the perfect spot to put down roots and focus on what really matters—family, faith, and serving others.
I live here with my amazing family. My wife and I have been blessed with children who keep us on our toes (in the best way). We value time together, whether we’re enjoying a quiet night in or venturing out to explore the nearby area. It’s a life centered around love, laughter, and growing in faith.
My Professional Life
Before diving deeper into ministry, I spent over 15 years in business management, specializing in the service-based industry. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to help small businesses grow and thrive, taking on roles in business development, marketing, and operations. I’ve worked across multiple states—Ohio, Western New York, and now North Carolina—gaining valuable experience in a variety of markets. I’ve always been passionate about creating strong, lasting relationships with clients and customers, while helping businesses streamline operations for growth and success.
While my focus is now shifting more toward ministry and serving others, I still carry that same drive and dedication in my professional life. I believe that the principles of leadership, service, and relationship-building in business directly align with my work in ministry and daily life.
My Ministry Journey
Ministry has always been close to my heart. In my late teens and early 20s, I served as a youth pastor, which laid the foundation for my passion for guiding others in their walk with Christ. After stepping into full-time work in the private sector, my ministry continued to grow as I focused on serving others in different capacities. Eventually, I became an ordained pastor and the founder of Emberfaith—a ministry focused on encouraging and empowering others through scripture, Bible studies, and devotionals.
At Emberfaith, we believe in the transformative power of God’s word and the life-changing impact it can have. It’s my mission to reach people wherever they are on their spiritual journey and help them discover the fullness of life in Christ.
Right now, I’m also seeking a pastoral role where I can continue serving in a church community. I’m excited to find the right place where I can pour my heart into shepherding others. I’ll update this section once I take on a new pastoral position—stay tuned!
The Future and the Journey Ahead
Life is an ongoing journey, and I’m always looking forward to what’s next. Whether it’s growing Emberfaith, pursuing new opportunities in ministry, or enjoying time with my family, I’m constantly seeking ways to deepen my purpose, passion, and service. As I continue on this path, I’m excited about the possibility of new roles that align with my calling to serve and guide others in their faith. I firmly believe that every experience—whether personal or professional—adds to the story that God is writing in my life, and I’m eager to see where that story leads.
Looking ahead, I want to keep challenging myself to grow, learn, and adapt. My faith is what drives me, and I strive to remain faithful to God's plans for my life, even as they unfold in unexpected ways. With my family by my side, I know there are many adventures ahead—both big and small. Through it all, my mission remains the same: to live a life that reflects God’s love, share that love with others, and make a lasting impact in the lives of those I encounter.
I’m excited for whatever the future holds and am deeply grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to serve so far. This is just the beginning of the journey, and I’m eager to continue walking in faith.
